Backyard Fencing
Custom wood and metal fencing built to last in Woodlands' heat and humidity.
We build backyard fences from the ground up. Most of our work is pressure-treated pine and cedar, which hold up well in the Texas climate. We also install vinyl and metal options if that's what fits your property and budget. Every fence starts with a site visit where we check your property lines, soil conditions, and what you actually need the fence to do.
The Woodlands heat and moisture mean rot is a real concern. We set posts deep in concrete, space them right for wind load, and use hardware that won't rust out in five years. Cedar lasts longer than pine but costs more. We do most installs between October and April when the ground isn't baked solid and crews can work without heat exhaustion.
You get a fence that looks solid on day one and still functions ten years later. We handle permits and surveys if needed. Once we're done, you have a defined yard, privacy from neighbors, and something that won't need major repair for a long time.
About backyard fencing
How long does a fence last in The Woodlands?
Pressure-treated pine typically lasts 8 to 12 years here. Cedar goes 12 to 15 years. Vinyl and metal last longer but cost more upfront. The key is proper post installation and drainage.
Do I need a permit for a backyard fence?
Most residential fences in The Woodlands do need a permit. We handle that paperwork and make sure your fence meets setback rules. It takes a few weeks but keeps you clear with the HOA and county.
What's the difference between cedar and pressure-treated pine?
Cedar looks better and smells better, but costs 30 to 40 percent more. Pine is treated to resist rot and does the job well for most budgets. Both need the same solid post installation to last.
